So who doesn't like R.E.M.? Well, I mean, R.E.M. during their early years when they were really good. Or how about any of those great early to mid-80's "college rock" bands that ruled the indie airwaves before there was "indie". Well, the Greebies love it. At least, they did. Yesteryear Again is their homage to that bygone era of radio redemption. Most of the songs on this release were written & recorded to cassette 4-track while the band was in high school. If this had come out then, it would have been fairly contemporaneous with the bands this record calls to mind. Fast forward to the 21st Century, after years of talking about making a proper record, the Greebies finally get together to re-record a modest amount of their back catalog which has become Yesteryear Again. Wistful, nostalgic, totally rockin'.
Limited to 100. Currently sold out at the source, but you should be able to get some from the band.
